Walter Boyle
Gang Detective Foothill Division

Born: July 22, 1965 | EOW: July 23, 2010

Detective Walter Boyle was born July 22, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the youngest son of two children. Walter moved around alot as a child as his father was in the FBI but settled in the Conejo Valley area. Walter is survived by his wife Linda and daughter Keira.

Walter was a devoted husband and an outstanding father. Walter married Linda in 1995 in Santa Barbara, Ca and their marriage of fifteen years was blessed with a beautiful daughter Keira age 6. Walter favorite place to go was Disneyland. It was a happy place and a place were he could bond with his daughter. And spend time with his family.

He graduated from California Lutheran University in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Walter had a variety of jobs mostly construction related before joining LAPD in June of 2001. He started his career off in the West LA Division as a patrol officer until January of 2003 when he transferred to Devonshire as a Police Officer II. In May of 2005 he joined the Mission Division where he worked in the war room doing crime analysis, directed patrol missions, Mission burglary table and Mission Gangs. Walter developed a SMART packet at Mission which Newt Gingrich took back and presented to Congress. It was presented to other law enforcement agencies across the country. In March of 2009, Walter moved to the Foothill Division as a Detective I. He worked the Foothill Gang Impact Team. Walter was a valued member of Foothill Gang Impact team and will be missed by all those who worked with him. He excelled in the area of detective. He gave one hundred percent to his job.

His life was cut short on July 23, 2010. He had an amazing sense of humor and could always make you laugh which is something his daughter has inherited. He will remain in our hearts as an exceptional detective, husband, father, brother and friend. Walter will be missed by all. He is forever in our hearts.
